Tricks or Treats and other Sweets
2011
Just now sitting down to sift through some photos & attach a few words to them. Realized I haven’t shared our Halloween pictures yet, so amongst a few other things, they’re in here :)

We had a wonderful trip to Virginia to visit with Landon’s family.
Noni (Landon’s grandma) & Kaden right after we landed. I hope when I have great-grand babies I’m around to hold them when they’re up past their bedtime & snuggled into their jammies :)
At the wedding
Which was absolutely lovely. Congratulations Amanda & Paul! We had so much fun celebrating with you :-)
The day after the wedding we had a blast taking Kaden to Chesterfield Berry Farm‘s Pumpkin Festival.
They had pig races…
And pony rides (have you ever seen a more dignified cowboy? I can’t help laughing every time I see this picture. He was precious. And very serious.)
K loved walking through all the “Pkn, pkn, pkns!”
And found one just his size to take home :)

We had a little Halloween party back home where we carved pumpkins…
And went trick or treating. It took a couple of houses, but he got the hang of it & had lots of fun.
Best thing about trick or treating when you’re 17 months old & have never had candy is you’re thrilled when mom trades the candy out of your bucket for cheerios & an organic fruit pouch. You’d rather have that anyway :)
Also worked a little on my search for healthier sugar cookies. Used whole wheat pastry flour, organic sugar, & natural food coloring, so they’re better than your average sugar cookie. Not healthy, but healthier, so that’s something.

Yesterday we got to go to Hollywood Studios & see the first official night of the Osborne Family Spectacle of Dancing Lights this year. First we caught a couple shows of Mulch, Sweat, & Shears, arguably the best band at Disney. We’re big fans of the guy playing bass ;)
And the lights were spectacular as always.
After experiencing several different places, I feel confident in saying the Streets of America in Hollywood Studios have the best snow in Florida.

Kaden has discovered that he likes paint. We’ve been doing some more crafts lately & we both really enjoy it.
Getting ready for Turkey Day. Starting to pull some recipes & make shopping lists for supplies. Do you have a favorite Thanksgiving recipe? Would love to hear!
Have a wonderful weekend!

These are all wonderful. xo
Loved seeing your Halloween photos of Kaden. My favorite is the one of Landon holding his hand. So sweet!
I really don’t have a favorite Thanksgiving dish. We always have the same menu. Renee’s husband Scott is always trying to get us to change but we like tradition! Happy Thanksgving!
