Belly Update: Week 34
Name: is picked out, but we’re keeping it a secret til she’s born :-)
Height: 19-22 inches (based on 34 week average)
Weight: 5.5 lbs. (average)
Movement: She’s still very active, but definitely seems to have more periods of sleep throughout the day as well. Her movements have changed too, and seem stronger and more controlled, less random & crazy :)
Position: she’s been head-down for the past month and a half, and seems to like to hang out on the right side of my belly, with her feet pushing on my left side.
Food cravings: blueberries, raspberries, cheesy brats
Food aversions: Greek salad, homemade salsa, anything with cilantro
Favorite maternity clothes: Ruched t-shirts from Liz Lange Maternity at Target are the most comfortable thing ever.
Other pregnancy related updates:
Started seeing a Webster-certified chiropractor last week, at the strong recommendation of my midwife. I’m told that having your pelvis in proper alignment encourages baby to get in the best position for an efficient delivery. After Kaden’s marathon 5 days of labor due to his posterior position, it seems worthwhile. And the chiropractor we’re seeing is really nice too, which helps.
Exercise has not been the easiest task for me to keep up with since I got pregnant (…with Kaden…), but one thing I really enjoy is my Prenatal Pilates DVD. I like that I can do it whenever & don’t have to go outside in the summer heat. Kaden likes it too :) When we finish he says “more Pilates?”
